Why shouldn't I just use Twilio?

Twilio requires carrier verification ($15-20 one-time), campaign fees ($2/month), and number leases ($1-2/month per number). By the time you've sent your first message with Twilio, you could have sent 850+ messages with Notifox for the same startup cost. Notifox has zero upfront costs. Further, Notifox is simpler to use and has additional features Twillio and SNS do not have.

Can I send messages to anyone?

Anyone, as long as they have been verified through the console by confirming an SMS code. This is done to prove ownership of the mobile number, allowing you to bypass verification requirements enforced by other SMS providers to prevent spam. You can add up to 15 verified numbers. Please contact support (support@notifox.com) for higher limits.

Why no carrier verification?

You can only send notifications to phone numbers you own and have verified through our console by confirming an SMS code. This verification process proves ownership of the mobile number, allowing you to bypass the carrier verification requirements (like 10DLC/RSC) that other SMS providers enforce to prevent spam. This eliminates spam risk and carrier compliance requirements, making it perfect for developer alerts and team notifications. You can add up to 15 verified numbers, with higher limits available by contacting support@notifox.com.

Do I need to lease a phone number?

No! Notifox doesn't require you to lease your own number. We provide numbers as part of our service.

Are there any monthly fees?

Nope! You only pay $0.025 per SMS message sent. No setup fees, no monthly minimums, no platform fees.

What is the minimum deposit?

Notifox uses a credit-based system with a $5 minimum deposit. This ensures you have credits available for sending messages and helps us maintain service quality.

Do you support other channels besides SMS?

Currently, Notifox only supports SMS alerts. We're actively working on adding support for other channels based on user demand. Please get in touch if you have a specific use case in mind.

Is there an API rate limit?

Yes, we have reasonable rate limits to prevent abuse and ensure service quality. Please contact support (support@notifox.com) if you need higher limits for your use case.
